Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Lead Electrical Engineer to support our Group Division Hydro as a medium-voltage power converter expert.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for implementing electrotechnical systems as part of global hydropower plant projects.
  • You will design and optimize converter solutions in cooperation with the generator engineering department.
  • Your main tasks will include handling start-up and direct converters, as well as DFIM excitation systems for power plant projects, including the engineering of auxiliary systems.
  • You will also be responsible for checking, clarifying interfaces, and integrating the detailed and component engineering of system suppliers and planning offices into the overall planning of the power plant.
  • You will monitor cost budgets and deadlines and support Purchasing in specifying systems and Sales in preparing quotations and negotiations with customers.
  • You will be involved in factory acceptance tests at suppliers, customer meetings, and on-site meetings worldwide.

Your Profile

  • You have successfully completed a degree in electrical or power engineering.
  • You already have specialist knowledge of higher power and voltage inverter technology.
  • Experience in handling complex technical systems and installations is desirable.
  • You are business fluent in written and spoken German and English, further foreign language skills are advantageous.
  • You are looking forward to intercultural cooperation in an internationally oriented company.
