Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team at the Voith Group. As a key member of our global hydropower plant projects, you will be responsible for the implementation of electrotechnical systems.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize converter solutions in collaboration with the generator engineering department.
  • Handle start-up and direct converters, as well as DFIM excitation systems for power plant projects, including the engineering of auxiliary systems.
  • Check and clarify interfaces, and integrate the detailed and component engineering of system suppliers and planning offices into the overall planning of the power plant.
  • Monitor cost budgets and deadlines, and support Purchasing in specifying systems and Sales in preparing quotations and negotiations with customers.
  • Participate in factory acceptance tests at suppliers, customer meetings, and on-site meetings worldwide.

Your Profile

  • You have a degree in electrical or power engineering.
  • You possess specialist knowledge of higher power and voltage inverter technology.
  • Experience in handling complex technical systems and installations is desirable.
  • You are fluent in written and spoken German and English, with further foreign language skills advantageous.
  • You are looking forward to intercultural cooperation in an internationally oriented company.
