Project Engineer Role at Covestro

Covestro is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our Engineering team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing multiple small and medium single site capital investment projects, ensuring safety, costs, quality, and schedule are met to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage capital investment projects, including safety, costs, quality, and schedule, to reach project goals.
  • Coordinate all project team members throughout all project phases, including mechanical completion and commissioning support.
  • Perform standard project management tasks, including scope management, cost control, schedule compliance, risk identification and mitigation, deliverable quality, and reporting.
  • Represent projects towards the Steering Committee and Stakeholders.
  • Develop engineering, execution, and contracting strategies to ensure engineering, procurement, and construction inputs are considered in the project concept.
  • Manage continuous and active risk to ensure project performance.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Process, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent scientific discipline or technical apprenticeship with long-standing work experience in investment projects.
  • Work experience in industry or engineering companies, preferably as project leader or engineering manager.
  • High leadership, management, and stakeholder skills, including ability to live owners engineering.
  • Experience with scheduling and cost planning.
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English skills.
