Senior Battery Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Battery Test Engineer to join our team at Lilium. As a key member of our Component Testing team, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing tests for our high-voltage battery systems.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute tests for battery cells, modules, and packs, as well as electric parts and components.
- Design and operate test benches for testing electrical, electro-chemical, and electro-mechanical components.
- Coordinate and prepare tests with partners and stakeholders.
- Provide critical feedback to relevant stakeholders on design changes, process adaptations, and software bugfixes.
- Support the Test Category Safety/Abuse and Environmental Testing.
- Support production planning and end-of-line test setup.
- MSc, PhD, or equivalent degree in electrical/power/mechatronics engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of working in electrical labs and good practice of testing.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in working on high-voltage battery testing, especially in the area of abuse and environmental/mechanical testing.
- Knowledge of BMS Functions, CAN Systems, and general Test Bench Software.
- Experience in electrical and battery testing equipment like high-power supplies and loads, data acquisition systems, battery test systems.
