Role Context and Team Integration

Product Management for Issuing is responsible for the strategic development and oversight of all consumer and commercial card offerings under the Deutsche Bank Group's various brands. This includes accountability for product profitability and comprehensive management of the associated debit and credit card processes. The role encompasses ensuring operational efficiency for card-based transactions, overseeing card issuance, and managing the entire product lifecycle. Additionally, the management of essential vendor relationships falls within the scope of Product Management for Issuing. The core focus is on fostering growth and strategically developing card products and portfolios.

To support the increasing demand for card issuance and management, reliable and digitized processes are essential. The growth trajectory is accompanied by a rising volume of customer inquiries that require expert handling at the second level. A dedicated support unit will be established to provide specialized assistance to both external and internal clients, addressing issues, identifying challenges, analyzing root causes, and enhancing product and process development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the product support team to deliver second-level assistance for both internal and external clients while managing the future Target Operating Model (TOM) for Issuing, which includes collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Enhancing the Issuing proposition to drive growth by designing, implementing, and managing efficient product processes and promoting process automation.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors to design and implement the future TOM for Issuing.
  • Ensuring the operational effectiveness of card products by managing product processes in accordance with Deutsche Bank's quality standards.
  • Leading projects and taking ownership of project execution within the card issuing domain.
  • Contributing to the profitability of Issuing by initiating process improvements.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience in managing and leading teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of card operating systems/applications and product-related processes.
  • Strong capability in process-oriented thinking and quality assurance.
  • Extensive experience in process analysis and design.
  • Familiarity with the German card industry and relevant Deutsche Bank products (debit and credit cards), including value chains, authentication methods (e.g., 3DS), and regulatory requirements is advantageous.
  • Multi-year experience in project management and stakeholder engagement, including customers and vendors.
  • A collaborative team player with high motivation, commitment, and a customer-centric approach.
  • Excellent communication skills with proficiency in both German and English.
