Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Global Export Control to join our Supply Chain team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability of our products in global markets while maintaining compliance with export regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee customs-related activities, including audits and compliance.
- Manage classification, valuation, and record-keeping processes.
- Review and monitor the performance of brokerage service providers regarding customs compliance.
- Provide leadership and direction on regulations, compliance, and risk assessment related to sanctions and trade control.
- Develop and improve processes for sanctions and trade control, as well as export best practices.
- Provide guidance to Supply Chain Management and Executive Management.
- Monitor existing export control and foreign trade licenses, and maintain export control and foreign trade relevant master data.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including 3PL and international freight providers.
Requirements
- University degree in business or a related field.
- 10+ years of international experience in trade compliance and customs, preferably in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
- Strong knowledge of export regulations and documentation requirements.
- Excellent risk mitigation, problem identification, and solving skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP.
- Fluency in English and German, with any other language being an advantage.
