(Senior) Compliance Officer (m/f/d)
Location: Munich, Germany;
We are in search of a seasoned (Senior) Compliance Officer (m/f/d) to become a vital part of our compliance division. Our commitment lies in maintaining the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance throughout our operations. As we expand, we seek a dedicated individual to ensure our compliance with regulatory mandates and internal guidelines while enhancing our existing systems.
Key Responsibilities
Formulate, execute, and provide counsel on compliance policies, procedures, and controls to guarantee adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry benchmarks. Perform risk assessments to pinpoint compliance vulnerabilities and potential remedies. Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to evaluate the implications of new regulations and industry trends on our operations. Investigate compliance-related issues, incidents, and grievances, recommending corrective measures as necessary. Offer guidance and training to staff on compliance-related topics. Keep abreast of pertinent laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Engage closely with internal control systems, legal, and sustainability departments. Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory bodies as required.Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in business, law, finance, or a related discipline. An advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional, Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager) is advantageous. At least 3 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field, ideally within the e-commerce, retail, or logistics sectors. A strong grasp of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, particularly the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act, CSRD, anti-money laundering, and anti-corruption legislation. A proven history of developing and executing compliance programs, with experience in external audit processes and familiarity with IDW PS 980 being a plus. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. A keen attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight, coupled with a strong affinity for technological solutions to optimize processes. A robust ethical framework and a commitment to maintaining integrity and transparency. Proficient communication skills with stakeholders at all organizational levels, in both English and German. Proficiency in additional languages is highly valued.Benefits
