Student Helpdesk Coordinator

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Student Assistant to join our dynamic team at the Service Desk, where you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering assistance and support to users of our IT services, encompassing both 'First and Second Level Support'
  • Documenting and managing error and issue reports that necessitate specialist intervention within our ticketing system
  • Monitoring the core infrastructure of our scientific network, including high-performance computing systems and various digital services
  • Identifying and notifying the appropriate administrators of any disruptions detected through monitoring tools
  • Acting as the liaison for emergency services during off-hours for safety and security alerts
  • Executing certified and transparent operational processes
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in both German and English
  • Fundamental IT knowledge
  • Familiarity with multiple operating systems is advantageous
  • Competence in MS Office, web browsers, and email applications
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and enhancing team processes
Working Conditions:

Department: Service Desk

Hours: Up to 20 hours per week

Shifts available in a 24/7 Service Desk format:

8:00-16:00, 16:00-0:00, 0:00-8:00

Flexible scheduling with electronic time management

Duration: Semester-based

Compensation: €12.41/hr or €14.00/hr (for Bachelor's students)

Training Opportunities: Access to further training and certification in IT-related ISO standards
