Join Our Team as a Student Assistant in Energy Systems

The Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) is a leading research institution in the field of global change, climate impacts, and sustainable development. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled student assistant to support our research team in the Energy Systems group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain software tools for techno-economic analysis in R and Python
  • Manage and analyze large datasets for our techno-economic database
  • Contribute to the development of new methods for research on energy transition, energy technologies, and global energy trade
  • Review and collect literature and data on techno-economics of energy technologies and production patterns
Requirements:
  • Bachelor or master degree in computer science, programming, physics, maths, engineering, system sciences, economics, or a related field
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or R, with a focus on good coding practices
  • Experience in collaborative working and ability to work independently
