Frequency Coordination Specialist

OHB System AG, a leading European space company, is seeking a highly skilled Frequency Coordination and Management Officer to enhance its position as a telecommunications systems provider.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing filing status for project-specific use cases, devising optimal strategies for successful frequency coordination, and overseeing the filing process with relevant regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities:- Proposal phase: Evaluate customer requests, assess incumbent filing status using the ITU database, identify potential conflicts for future coordination activities, and determine expected coordination limits per orbital position or constellation plane.
- Implementation phase: Prepare frequency filings using ITU software tools and forms, interface with regulatory bodies, manage coordination cases, and perform notification and Bring-into-Use formalities.
- Operational phase: Negotiate frequency sharing with other operators, protect own frequency filing and coordination results, and assist in frequency filings for ground stations and terminals.
- Master's degree in RF or communication engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent understanding of the space-to-ground link, its key parameters, and potential interference sources.
- Knowledge of current standards (DVB-S2X, RCS) and emerging standards (5G/6G NTN) for satellite communications.
- Work experience in systems engineering is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Very good knowledge of the English language.
