Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at Tiger Resourcing Group. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and directing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of projects, including site management, project installation plans, and job procedures.
  • Translate customer needs and requirements into detailed proposals and project implementation plans.
  • Review and approve estimated costs prior to bid.
  • Provide technical assistance to the sales team as needed.
  • Supervise project design engineering, installation, labor, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare project schedules, subcontracts, change proposals, and project invoices.
  • Manage collections on projects and maintain accurate records of job status, job changes, material flow, and other control records.
  • Act as the customer's best service provider at all times, ensuring the company is the customer's first choice for service.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.
  • Communicate project schedules, project change proposals, and related project activities with customers and seek to continuously improve customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate the procurement of materials, supplies, services, and control necessary for timely and cost-effective completion of projects within budget.
  • Establish project milestones and analyze costs.
  • Utilize financial systems to review actual versus estimated job costs.
  • Provide timely and accurate project cost reports.
  • Identify reasons for low job site productivity and determine the impact on projects.
  • Adjust or correct project plans and/or project cost estimates as necessary to meet financial goals.
  • Manage the execution and review of all scope of work, terms, and conditions in customer contracts, including cost control, delivery fulfillment, and quality of service.
  • May have direct reports and perform a limited range of managerial responsibilities, including mentoring, coaching, and developing colleagues.
Requirements
  • Good project management experience in a technical environment, preferably in building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems.
  • Good coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills, with a solid leadership orientation.
  • Good team leadership, team building, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to changing situations.
  • Very adaptable, with the ability to influence others and build consensus using advanced written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Good analytical skills to resolve problems and look for solutions, with solid conflict resolution skills.
  • Good financial analytical skills, including cost control.
  • Ability to facilitate a collaborative working environment for customers and team members.
  • Strong Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills, with solid programming skills and the ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of IT networking principles.
Education and Experience
  • Educated in Engineering/Managerial Business NVQ or related field or equivalent experience.
  • SMSTS, SSSTS certifications.
  • Minimum of five years of previous, relevant engineering, field service, or project management experience preferred.
  • Experience in one or more of the following industries preferred: Electronic, Fire Alarm & Life Safety, and/or Building Automation.
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory experience required.
Certifications and Licenses
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification preferred.
  • Industry-specific certifications and/or licenses desired.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Protective Clothing Required

The position may require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use, such as safety glasses, steel-toed shoes or work boots, etc.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the colleague is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, or hear; uses hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls. On occasion, the colleague may be required to climb and work in high places, stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. Position may also require work in confined spaces and exposure to different types of outdoor weather conditions. Risk of electrical shock and/or general hazards found in a construction environment are present.

The colleague must occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The position is an office-based position with visits to work sites in the field. The colleague regularly performs work-related travel.
