Job Title: Senior Project Engineer

Join our team at Stryker Leibinger GmbH & Co. KG as a Senior Project Engineer and take on a challenging role in our Advanced Operations Custom Implants Team. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our additive manufacturing line in Freiburg, where we manufacture patient-specific titanium implants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage significant engineering projects from a lean manufacturing perspective, ensuring efficient and effective processes.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, promoting lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
  • Drive technology development and application within manufacturing processes, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with operations to improve machine and production performance, implementing lean manufacturing tools and methodologies.
  • Continuously improve process performance using lean manufacturing tools, such as 6S and SMED.
  • Engage in the implementation of lean manufacturing principles within manufacturing, creating a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement relevant work instructions and procedures, ensuring compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Integrate new processes with focus on MES/SAP systems, ensuring seamless integration and data management.
  • Support process validation procedures and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Train and mentor engineers, establishing a cross-functional team driving improvement and excellence.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in mechanics, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in serial production industries, preferably in MedTech or Automotive.
  • Excellent knowledge of lean manufacturing, Kaizen methodology, and 6S.
  • Experience in implementing new lean solutions in mass production environments.
  • Very good PC skills and English communication skills.
