Senior Project Engineer

Join our team at Stryker Leibinger GmbH & Co. KG as a Senior Project Engineer and take on a challenging role in our Advanced Operations Custom Implants Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for establishing and applying optimization methods for our additive manufacturing line in Freiburg, where we manufacture patient-specific titanium implants.
Key Responsibilities:- Management of significant Engineering projects from a Lean manufacturing perspective
- Provide technical leadership from a Lean manufacturing perspective
- Drive technology development and application within the manufacturing processes
- Closely collaborate with Operations on improving the performance of machines and production
- Continuously improve the performance of the process by using Lean manufacturing tools (6S, SMED, etc.)
- Engage in the implementation of lean manufacture principles within manufacturing
- Creation of all relevant Work Instructions and Procedures
- Development and implementation of appropriate supporting documentation, SOPs and process work instructions compliant with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Integration of new processes with focus on MES / SAP systems
- Support role in process validation procedure / documentation
- Train and mentor engineers and establish with all internal stakeholders a cross-functional team driving improvement
- Master degree in mechanics, industrial engineering or similar
- 4-7 years experience in serial production industries (MedTech or Automotive preferable)
- Excellent knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen methodology, 6S etc.
- Experience in implementing new lean solutions in mass production environment
- Very good PC skills
- Very good English communication skills
