Bayer is a global organization that strives to achieve the unattainable. We're looking for a talented intern to join our Process Design and Optimization team.

As a Process Design and Optimization intern, you will have the opportunity to work on overall process engineering development and optimization of processes for chemical or biotechnological active ingredient production as well as for formulation and packaging operations.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Data preparation and analysis
  • Support in the creation of mass and energy balances as well as in model creation and evaluation
  • Participation in the development of software tools (e.g. device models, occupancy planning, analysis and visualization methods)
  • Assistance with process and product flow simulation
  • Evaluation of process alternatives and process optimization
  • Get to know Quality by Design methods in a GMP-regulated environment

Requirements include:

  • Study of pharmaceutical engineering, life science engineering, biological or chemical engineering, process engineering or a comparable field of study
  • In-depth specialist knowledge in the respective field of study
  • Previous knowledge of process simulation or programming is an advantage
  • Belief that you learn throughout your life and that the lessons you learn from failure lead to success
  • Enjoy working in a team as well as commitment and motivation
  • High willingness to learn and quick comprehension
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English skills
