Join Our Team as a Senior Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at Hannover Re. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in leading a workstream within a large business transformation project for the global renewal of our financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a workstream within a large business transformation project for the global renewal of our financial systems
  • Analyze existing and define new target processes, taking into account all necessary customization processes
  • Interface with various departments within the company, as well as with employees at our branches and subsidiaries worldwide, our external consultants and management
  • Process functional and technical issues in connection with reporting in accordance with HGB, IFRS and Solvency II
Requirements:
  • Degree in economics or business administration - preferably with a focus on finance or commercial training with relevant professional experience
  • Several years of professional experience in the finance department of an international company, preferably an insurance or reinsurance company
  • Ideally knowledge of the SAP general ledger and the upstream insurance-related sub-systems
  • Experience in the technical management of a multifunctional team or project
  • International mindset paired with German and English at a conversational Level
