Financial Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Hannover Re. As a key member of our Group Finance team, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing expert advice to management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, including IFRS and Solvency II
  • Provide expert advice to management on financial matters, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Develop and implement financial reporting processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information
Requirements:
  • Completed degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting standards, including IFRS and Solvency II
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
