As the Director of User Insights at Babbel, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our understanding of users, refining our insight capabilities through a combination of deep empathy and diverse research methodologies. This pivotal position places you at the core of our initiatives, aligning and amplifying our insight collection processes in partnership with Market Research and Product Marketing teams. Help us convert user data into actionable insights that inform our product strategies and innovations.
Your Responsibilities:- Act as the primary champion for how Babbel utilizes user insights and learner empathy to influence product strategies, ensuring that user research is a fundamental component of our strategic framework.
- Innovate and enhance methods to assist our teams in identifying hidden user needs, improving our ability to meet user expectations effectively.
- Promote user research throughout the organization, fostering an evidence-based culture that integrates user insights into our operations and ethos.
- Collaborate with product leadership to determine and prioritize research requirements for strategic projects, taking ownership of the research agenda.
- Effectively communicate the objectives and impact of your team, demonstrating how these initiatives align with and support Babbel's overarching mission.
- Maintain the highest standards of your team's output by mentoring and developing both individual contributors and managers, nurturing a culture of excellence and ongoing improvement.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing research teams, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in user research within a product-oriented organization.
- Strong methodological expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research techniques.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and persuasively to diverse stakeholders.
- A robust portfolio showcasing a user-centered design approach and a history of impactful research contributions to product development.
- A genuine passion for advancing the field of user research, with a dedication to mentoring and developing team members.
- A collaborative mindset and experience working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
