Electronics and Photonics Researcher

At Fraunhofer HHI, we're pushing the boundaries of innovation in the field of electronics and photonics. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that combine photonics, radio frequency engineering, and semiconductor physics.
What You'll Do- Develop a PDK for thin film lithium niobate PICs
- Design and implement ASICs for high-speed data transmission and sensor applications
- Design and optimize quenching circuits for SPADs
- Characterize and evaluate manufactured chips in system experiments
- Collaborate with international teams on exciting industrial projects
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or physics
- Knowledge of ASIC design, preferably TIAs
- Experience with PDKs and design software (Cadance)
- Strong understanding of electronic circuit characterization
- Knowledge of optics and high-frequency technology is a plus
- Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
