Your Role at NTT DATA
The Networking Managed Services Engineer (L1) plays a crucial role in delivering managed services to clients, ensuring their IT infrastructure and systems operate seamlessly. This involves proactively identifying, investigating, and resolving technical incidents and challenges, while restoring service to clients by managing incidents until resolution. The primary goal of this position is to achieve zero missed service level agreement (SLA) conditions. This role is centered on first-line support for standard and low complexity incidents and service requests.Additionally, this position may involve contributing to or supporting project work as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor client infrastructure and solutions
- Proactively identify potential issues before they arise
- Regularly pinpoint common incidents and opportunities for reduction
- Investigate first-line incidents and determine root causes
- Process approved requests in accordance with established procedures
- Carry out approved maintenance tasks, including patching and configuration adjustments
- Adhere to required handover protocols during shift changes to ensure service continuity
- Report and escalate incidents as necessary
- Ensure efficient and thorough resolution of incidents and requests
- Identify opportunities for operational optimization
- Update existing knowledge articles or create new documentation
- Spot opportunities for process improvement, including automation of tasks and incident resolution
- May assist with project work as required
- May participate in implementing and testing Disaster Recovery functions
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
- Proficient in both German and English
- Able to communicate effectively across diverse cultures and social groups
- Skilled in planning activities and projects with foresight, considering potential changes
- Maintains a positive attitude in the workplace
Qualifications and Certifications:
- CCNA certification
Experience Required:
- Entry-level experience or completion of a relevant internship program
- Basic experience in troubleshooting and providing support in network, data center, systems, or storage administration within a medium to large ICT organization
- Fundamental understanding of management agents, redundancy concepts, and products within the relevant technical domain (e.g., Network, Data Center, Telephony, Exchange, Storage, Cloud, Backup, etc.)
