About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Analyst to join our Governmental Relations International team in Düsseldorf. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and coordinating energy policy and regulatory processes for Uniper.

Responsibilities
  • Support and coordinate energy policy and regulatory processes for Uniper
  • Prepare and draft strategic assessments, position papers, decision papers, presentations, memos, and energy policy analyses
  • Identify topic-specific political decision-makers and contacts, as well as manage and network with regard to International and European politics, corresponding administrations, and other organizations
  • Represent and safeguard Uniper's political interests vis-à-vis politicians, administrations, associations, and other organizations
  • Prepare and advise Uniper Senior Executives in political discussions and events
  • Organize and support political events
Requirements
  • University (Master's Degree level) preferably in economics, political science, or law, or a comparable degree
  • Knowledge of the political, economic, and legal framework of the energy industry as a whole
  • Sound knowledge of European/State policy decision-making levels
  • Ideal experience in the area of electricity market design
  • Strong sense of political context and sensitivities
  • Analytical skills to grasp complex political and energy industry contexts and derive strategic responses
  • Ability to produce energy policy, regulatory, and economic analyses flexibly and at short notice
  • High linguistic competence and the ability to present complex issues in a simple and understandable way
  • Confident appearance and high teamwork and integration skills, as well as flexibility and motivation to work independently
  • Excellent written and spoken English, knowledge of another foreign language desirable
