About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team at Landeshauptstadt Düsseldorf. As a Data Analyst for Economic Development, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and analyzing the economic trends and developments in the Düsseldorf region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and continuously observe the economic trends and developments in the Düsseldorf region, with a focus on industry trends, sector development, and industry culture.
  • Analyze and evaluate the collected information to develop actionable recommendations for economic development.
  • Independently prepare data for reporting and presentation purposes, as well as formulate economic policy assessments.
  • Conduct comparative location analyses of German major cities and relevant regions, as well as competitive analyses.
  • Carry out surveys and create company profiles.
  • Develop and optimize a knowledge database for all areas of economic development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Economic Geography, Econometrics, Business Psychology, Social Sciences, or a comparable field.
  • Extensive experience in developing foundational data for economic projects.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant online databases, data, and information sources, studies, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of common statistical methods and survey experience, as well as knowledge of various AI systems.
  • Analytical expertise and excellent communication skills, structured and accurate work with large data sets.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, as well as English language skills for evaluating international statistics and literature.
