Procurement Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Manager to join our team at Copeland. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for managing a team of tactical buyers, improving the purchase order process, and ensuring inventory stock levels are available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly manage a team of tactical buyers to ensure efficient procurement processes.
- Improve the purchase order process, track open PO reports, and communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Constantly improve the process of managing MRP exceptions to avoid obsolete materials and ensure correct material delivery.
- Ensure inventory stock levels are available and support operational initiatives from a purchasing perspective.
- Monitor and report supplier OTD, ensuring improvements through tactical purchasing best practices.
- Closely collaborate with global supply chain to ensure site buyers follow sourcing strategies.
- Contribute to new product introductions, ensuring timely implementations.
- Ensure data reliability for customs compliance with vendors and compliance teams.
- Meet yearly KPI targets.
- Work systematically and professionally, adhering to company rules and procedures, including trade compliance regulations.
Requirements:
- Fluent English and German language skills.
- University/College certification.
- Minimum years' experience in a similar position.
- Materials management knowledge, including planning, inventory management, and purchasing.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Engineering certification.
- Supply chain certification.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- SAP knowledge.
- Strong managerial courage, assertiveness, and ability to work through resistance to change.
