Procurement Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Manager to join our team at Emerson. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing a team of tactical buyers, improving the purchase order process, and ensuring inventory stock levels are available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly manage a team of tactical buyers to ensure efficient procurement processes.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the purchase order process, including tracking open PO reports and communicating with suppliers.
- Collaborate with global supply chain to ensure site buyers are following sourcing strategies.
- Monitor and report supplier OTD, ensuring improvements in their performance.
- Contribute to new product introductions, ensuring timely implementations.
- Ensure data reliability for customs compliance and control vendor and material master data accuracy.
- Meet yearly KPI targets and work systematically in accordance with company rules and procedures.
Requirements:
- Fluent English and German language skills.
- University/College certification.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position.
- Materials management knowledge, including planning, inventory management, and purchasing.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Engineering certification.
- Supply chain certification.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
- SAP knowledge.
- Strong managerial courage, assertiveness, and ability to work through resistance to change.
