Department/Team:

As a member of one of our globally diverse, agile teams within the Private Bank Data Platform, you will contribute to the "TDI PB Germany Enterprise & Data" division. This role focuses on the design and implementation of various solutions in the realms of data warehousing, reporting, and analytics for the Private Bank in Germany, ensuring that essential data is available for both operational and analytical functions.

The PB Data Platform represents the new strategic data infrastructure of the Private Bank, leveraging the Google Cloud Platform as its foundation. In collaboration with Google, we are advancing Deutsche Bank's cloud strategy, aiming to transition a significant portion of existing on-premises applications to the Google Cloud Platform or to develop new solutions there.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with your team to develop and maintain efficient and reliable solutions for data warehousing and business intelligence. This includes establishing connections to various data sources to facilitate data loading via batch or near-real-time methods, as well as modeling and transforming data for diverse application needs.
  • Engage as part of a DevOps team, where you will not only focus on development tasks but also contribute to IaaS and platform operations, assisting in the management of the platform's infrastructure components on GCP.
  • Take end-to-end responsibility for the application alongside your agile team, evolving it in accordance with user requirements.
  • Actively participate in the agile development team, playing a key role in the design and implementation of data pipelines, while also supporting the product owner in conceptualizing the data platform.
  • Serve as a mentor within the expanding department, conducting code reviews and fostering an appealing environment for team collaboration.
Your Qualifications:
  • A degree in information technology, mathematics, engineering, business administration, or a related field, along with substantial professional experience.
  • Practical expertise in data modeling and database systems, including relational databases, and preferably experience with Document and Key Value Stores.
  • Proficiency in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, with experience in data warehouses utilizing methodologies such as Data Vault 2.0.
  • Extensive knowledge of data processing using SQL, coupled with significant experience in data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Beam, Apache Airflow).
  • Over five years of hands-on experience in application development using Java and/or Python.
  • Familiarity with cloud application environments, particularly with projects on the Google Cloud Platform (e.g., DataFlow, Composer, BigQuery, PubSub).
  • Experience with IaaS using Terraform and CI/CD practices utilizing GitHub Actions or similar deployment methods.
  • Proficient in standard tools such as Maven or Git, as well as shell scripting.
  • Strong communication skills in both German and English.
