About the Role
The Head of Site EHS role at Viatris is a critical position that requires a strong leader to develop and implement effective EHS strategies and programs. As a key member of the site leadership team, you will be responsible for promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of EHS programs to ensure compliance with local legislation, Viatris standards, and industry best practices.
- Oversee the planning, development, and execution of comprehensive EHS strategies and tactical plans to address key EHS risks for the business.
- Manage and coach the EHS team to ensure the delivery of optimized advice and service to the business.
- Provide technical advice and support to the organization on EHS matters, consulting with Regional EHS as needed.
- Conduct internal audits and EHS walkabouts to identify practical solutions to deficiencies.
- Manage the EHS curriculum for the site and provide employees with necessary information, instruction, and training to conduct their roles safely and responsibly.
- Ensure a robust investigation process for EHS incidents is in place to identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Deliver value for the business through planning and monitoring of EHS budgets for operational and capital expenditures.
- Ensure accurate and timely collection, reporting, and diagnosis of EHS data to identify trends and areas for focused improvement.
About You
We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in EHS, preferably with experience in a pharmaceutical or chemical cGMP manufacturing environment. You should have a proven track record of operating as an EHS lead and have demonstrated ability to line manage a team. Familiarity with regulatory compliance procedures and an ability to interpret relevant legislation are essential. Strong logical and clear-thinking skills, as well as excellent written and spoken communication skills, are also required.
