About the Role:
The Head of Site EHS will be responsible for developing and implementing effective EHS strategies and programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and contractors. This includes leading the EHS team, managing EHS budgets, and ensuring compliance with local legislation and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of EHS strategies and programs
- Manage the EHS team and provide technical advice and guidance
- Ensure compliance with local legislation and industry best practices
- Manage EHS budgets and resources
- Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections
- Investigate EHS incidents and develop corrective actions
- Develop and implement training programs for employees
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure EHS is integrated into business operations
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in EHS, preferably in a pharmaceutical or chemical cGMP manufacturing environment
- Proven track record of leading EHS teams and developing effective EHS strategies
- Strong knowledge of local legislation and industry best practices
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Native German speaker and fluent in English
