We are looking for motivated and skilled professionals to join our Frequency Management Office within the Space Safety Office of the Directorate of Operations.
- Analyze Radio Frequency interference and coordinate satellite networks along with ground station antenna systems with existing and planned systems.
- Manage critical parameters that influence Radio-Frequency Interference studies.
- Facilitate and address necessary steps for coordination activities with other satellite operators and relevant users.
- Contribute to the ITU filing and licensing processes for satellite networks and earth stations.
- Develop and maintain software to support ITU study initiatives, protect ITU filings, and analyze satellite communication systems.
- A degree in Aerospace or Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of satellite Radio-Frequency communication systems and satellite orbits.
- Familiarity with link budgets and relevant applications.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Matlab and/or Python.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Desirable skills and experience include:
- Understanding of ITU regulations and recommendations, as well as international standards for radio frequency and modulation of satellite systems.
- Knowledge of radio propagation principles.
- Experience with ITU software tools for satellite filing.
- Familiarity with relational database systems, particularly MS Access.
