Construction Compliance Supervisor

Position Overview

Are you dedicated to ensuring the integrity of highway infrastructure? The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a Construction Compliance Supervisor to join our Salem Residency team. In this role, you will be tasked with overseeing contractor operations to guarantee adherence to project guidelines and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor construction sites to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of contractor activities.
  • Submit detailed progress reports to management.
  • Assist in materials testing and evaluation.
  • Review projects for environmental compliance and safety adherence.
  • Provide oversight during emergency operations as needed.

Essential Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a valid driver's license and have a solid understanding of construction methodologies. Additionally, the ability to obtain Work Zone Safety and Flagging Certification is required. DEQ Dual Inspector certification must be achieved within the first year of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in contractor management, possession of a CDL, and familiarity with financial management software will be advantageous.

Work Environment

This role is critical for emergency operations and may necessitate working outside of standard hours. Pre-employment background checks and physical assessments are required. Safety footwear is mandatory for this position.
