Finance and Strategy Senior Analyst

We are in search of a seasoned Senior Associate, Finance & Strategy to become a vital part of our team that enhances the Operations and Quality global function.
The Operations and Quality sector is tasked with overseeing our worldwide courier operations, support services, and trust & safety initiatives. This function guarantees an optimal balance of courier supply, boosts efficiency across our courier operations, and ensures fair compensation for our courier partners. Furthermore, it spearheads the formulation and implementation of comprehensive strategies, policies, and initiatives as we strive to achieve unparalleled real-time customer support.
The Finance & Strategy team within Operations and Quality is a compact yet impactful group that plays a crucial role in Wolt's strategic and financial success. This team manages the profit and loss statement for Operations and Quality from a financial standpoint, and you will be instrumental in aiding the leadership in crafting a forward-looking vision, establishing ambitious objectives, and supporting the organization in achieving these goals. Continuous enhancement of our Operations and Customer Support efficiency is a key driver of profitability and future success for Wolt. Your responsibilities will encompass performance monitoring, financial model development, data analysis, and delivering valuable business insights for informed decision-making. As a member of this team, you will serve as a financial and strategic partner for the Operations and Quality functions globally.
This team collaborates closely with the global Finance & Strategy group and partners with our Global Head of Operations and Quality. Your role will involve close cooperation with accounting, analytics, product, and local market teams. Our finance and analytics teams will provide you with high-quality data to inform your work, and you will jointly develop our reporting and data structures to enhance our capabilities. There are exciting opportunities in product development, and you will engage in this work, helping prioritize our efforts as we unlock new possibilities for success through technology. Ultimately, our regional and local markets will execute the plans, and you will work closely with them to transform our visions into reality.
- Facilitate the provision of financial and strategic targets, follow-up, and guidance to our Operations and Quality leadership.
- Identify and assess trends, variances, and key performance indicators to offer insights and recommendations to management.
- Construct financial models and scenarios to aid in business planning and decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports, forecasts, and budgets for Operations and Quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to comprehend business drivers and influence decision-making.
- Support the development and maintenance of financial reporting and analysis tools to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial analysis.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests as necessary.
- Participate in the ongoing enhancement of accurate and effective financial reporting for Operations and Quality, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data and compliance with accounting standards and policies.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a highly analytical role such as financial planning and analysis, investment banking, or management consulting, preferably within the operations or technology sector.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Exceptional analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Looker, Power BI). Experience in handling large datasets.
- Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
