About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Logistics Sales Specialist to join our team at DP World Australia. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a crucial role in generating revenue and maintaining strong customer relationships within the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a customer database and deliver compelling sales pitches to prospective customers.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for existing clients, address customer inquiries promptly and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
- Collaborate with the operations team to plan and coordinate shipments, ensure accurate and timely delivery, monitor shipment progress and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, customer interactions and revenue.
- Generate regular sales reports and forecasts.
- Stay updated on industry trends & competitors and identify opportunities for improvement and expansion.
Requirements
- Proven experience in operations as a foundation of customer service and pricing tasks.
- Proven experience in sales in the logistics industry.
- Proficiency in using CRM and TMS software and other relevant tools.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of freight forwarding operations and supply chain management.
- Excellent communication skills when it comes to handling customers and a good command of English and German.
