Freight Forwarding Sales Specialist

Job Description:

As a Sales Executive at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with our major customers in the logistics industry. Your primary responsibility will be to acquire new customers and expand existing ones in a defined sales area, leveraging your product and market knowledge in air and sea freight.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Acquiring new customers and expanding existing ones in a defined sales area
  • Creation, processing, and coordination of offers and tenders in coordination with the respective departments
  • Ensuring the documentation of all sales activities and business potential, progress, and success in the CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Collaboration with support functions and operational units
  • Representing the company at industry events, trade fairs, and social media

Your Profile:
  • Completed commercial training, ideally as a freight forwarding and logistics services clerk with appropriate additional qualifications or further training
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in field sales in the logistics industry
  • Product and market knowledge in the areas of air and sea freight
  • Market and competitive knowledge in your own sales area desirable
  • Confident handling of common MS Office applications as well as experience with CRM systems
  • Very good knowledge of German and good English, both spoken and written
  • Team-oriented, yet independent, very structured working style
  • Negotiation skills and persuasiveness with a high degree of customer and solution orientation
  • Good presentation skills combined with a confident and authoritative demeanor
