Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Service Trainer to join our team of connected services experts at MSA – The Safety Company. As a Technical Service Trainer, you will play a critical role in the execution of robust, progressive, forward-thinking sales strategy that drives accelerated business performance and achieves all sales quotas and assigned goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, communicate, and implement appropriate sales strategies, processes, and action plans to optimize profitable revenue.
  • Conduct technical service trainings for technicians, MSA personnel, partners, and end-users in close cooperation with the Training Manager.
  • Evaluate and improve technical training programs in accordance with designated policies and procedures.
  • Discuss, verify, and coordinate training plans with training locations and trainees.
  • Prepare certifications, gifts, and coordinate shipment of training samples and tools.
  • Vacation replacement for other training team members when required.

Technical Training Development

  • Support the development of training formats, including online trainings.
  • Create instructor materials, such as course outlines, background material, instructional materials, and training aids.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of course content throughout a course life cycle.
  • Manage training programs in accordance with customer needs, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

Training Unit Preparation and Maintenance

  • Maintain training aids, equipment, and tools.
  • Produce training schedules and classroom agendas.
  • Determine course content according to objectives.
  • Prepare training materials, such as presentations, worksheets, and other instructional resources.

Training Execution and Evaluation

  • Book and prepare training rooms, training samples, and ensure access to the training facility.
  • Schedule and lead joint dinners for participants when needed.
  • Bring the training room back to a clean state after each training session.
  • Evaluate and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Fill out training orders accurately and finalize in the CRM system.

Customer Satisfaction and Feedback

  • Evaluate internal and external feedback.
  • Coordinate feedback with the training team.
  • Initiate suitable actions in coordination with the Service Manager and Service Marketing.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills and comfortable speaking during face-to-face and online trainings.
  • Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools in technical subjects.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Trainer.
  • Degree in a relevant technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of MSA products.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Certification such as CTT+ (Certified Technical Trainer) is a strong asset.

Travel Requirements

  • Estimated 50-60% travel required.
