Key Responsibilities

As a Cost Management Specialist at Kongsberg Automotive, you will play a vital role in our organization, ensuring the financial efficiency of our offerings. Your primary duties will encompass:

  • Cost Evaluation: Performing thorough evaluations of costs associated with current products and initiatives to pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Cost Projections: Developing precise cost projections for new product initiatives, taking into account material expenses, labor requirements, processes, and other pertinent elements.
  • Supplier Collaboration: Engaging with our international suppliers to discover and negotiate cost-effective sourcing alternatives.
  • Cost Clarity: Delivering clear and detailed cost reports to management and project teams.
  • Ongoing Improvement: Initiating and overseeing strategies for ongoing cost reduction and efficiency enhancement.
  • Risk Assessment: Recognizing potential cost-related risks and formulating strategies for their mitigation.
  • Effective Communication: Collaborating closely with our global teams to convey cost-related information and devise solutions.
  • Lean Methodology: Conducting Lean Workshops at supplier locations in partnership with suppliers and cross-functional teams to optimize costs, cycle times, quality, and ensure adherence to commercial agreements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, business management, or a related discipline.
  • Initial experience in a production setting, ideally within the automotive sector or a comparable field.
  • Basic familiarity with manufacturing technologies and CAD software.
  • Technical acumen and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Confident demeanor, enthusiasm for new technologies, self-reliance, quick learning ability, and a strong willingness to travel.
