Senior Transport Planning Manager, EU Surface Transportation

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transport Planning Manager to join our Surface Transportation Scheduling team in the EU and UK. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in creating an accurate plan for road transportation, driving scalable solutions that define where, when, and how many trucks will be needed to deliver billions of packages to our customers punctually, fast, and at the lowest cost possible.
Key Responsibilities- Create innovative solutions using data and research to address wider challenges in the organization.
- Work alongside senior leadership to establish and prioritize cross-organizational improvement programs, taking lead on them from start to completion.
- Lead strategic initiatives on behalf of the team based on organizational priorities and vision.
- Enhance operational performance and influence change needed from stakeholder teams.
- Work closely with Tech teams, Applied and Research Science teams to support them in development of tools & tech solutions required to drive change, assure they meet business requirements, and support their launch.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert, supporting teams and contributing to reliable and trustworthy partnerships with internal stakeholders.
- Analyze complex data to explain KPIs performance and identify opportunities to achieve higher targets.
- Communicate findings and proposals in a clear and compelling way verbally and in writing.
The Surface Transportation Scheduling team plays a key role in creating an accurate plan for road transportation in the entire EU and UK Linehaul network. We are a purpose-driven team that aims to create scalable solutions that define where, when, and how many trucks will be needed to deliver billions of packages to our customers punctually, fast, and at the lowest cost possible.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in complex problem-solving and working in a tight schedule environment.
- Experience leading process improvements.
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Tech and non-Tech teams.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
- Knowledge of SQL at an intermediate level, including compile queries, subqueries, aggregation/grouping, data modification, etc.
- MBA in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Analytics, or related field.
- Relevant experience in a Supply Chain, Logistics, E-commerce, or Transportation Planning role.
