Join Our Innovative Team as a Lead Backend Engineer

Skoobe is on the lookout for an experienced backend engineer to enhance our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust foundation in backend and web technologies, including REST, GraphQL, Docker, SQL, and HTML5. Expertise in Python is essential. We provide the option for fully remote work for candidates located in Germany.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the backend team on diverse development initiatives
  • Architect and develop scalable backend solutions
  • Ensure high availability and performance
  • Create and maintain software quality tests
  • Automate processes and enhance operational efficiency
  • Suggest and develop new API functionalities
Qualifications
  • At least 7 years of experience in backend development
  • Proficient in a minimum of two programming languages
  • Strong command of Python, with additional knowledge in Java or C/C++ as an advantage
  • Thorough understanding of web and backend technologies, particularly asynchronous programming and caching mechanisms
  • Familiarity with relational databases, preferably MySQL, and knowledge of NoSQL solutions
  • Experience with Docker and container orchestration
  • A quick learner, adaptable, and capable of thriving in an English-speaking setting
