About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Engineered Systems Expert to join our team at SVA. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and upgrade of Oracle Engineered Systems, including Exadata, ZDLRA, Private Cloud Appliance, and Oracle Database Appliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Oracle Engineered Systems solutions, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Provide expert-level support for the planning and architecture of Engineered Systems solutions, including network, security, storage, and database requirements.
- Optimize and tune Oracle databases on Engineered Systems for maximum performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum system availability.
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies, including disaster recovery testing.
- Collaborate closely with customers to understand their business needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to customers and internal teams.
Requirements
- Relevant IT education or degree, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing Oracle Engineered Systems, particularly Exadata.
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle databases and Oracle Grid Infrastructure.
- Experience in optimizing Oracle databases on Engineered Systems.
- Strong understanding of high availability, database security, and disaster recovery.
- Expertise in backup and recovery, Oracle Data Guard, and SQL, PL/SQL, and Shell scripting.
- Experience with RedHat Linux and/or Oracle Linux, as well as virtualization with KVM.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and teamwork abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with fluent German (C1 or higher) and English (B2 or higher) language proficiency.
