Sales / Customer Service Representative

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales / Customer Service Representative to join our team at tesa. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing application-systems for automated adhesive tape applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement application-systems for automated adhesive tape applications
- Support our sales team and customers with technical concept development, prototype development, and respective solutions of application devices
- Manage projects and coordinate with tesa, industrial customers, and mechanical engineering partners
- Stay up-to-date with trends and become an expert in automated tape application
- Visit customers' design centers to identify requests for new tool developments
- Verify technical concepts from first drafting to full prototype development
- Create requirement profiles and implementations for new process-oriented supporting solutions
- Benchmark technology and competition in the defined focus field and provide input to Product-, Technology Development, and the Marketing team
- Support customers with the implementation of their Industry 4.0 strategy
- Create and implement internal and external training courses on adhesive tape application systems and technical trainings
Requirements
- Technical engineering background with a master's or bachelor's degree, preferably mechanical engineering with at least 3 years of professional experience in product development or process engineering
- Experience in Business development, sales-related experience, and/or technical sales experience are desired
- Familiarity with customers and handling customer projects professionally
- Ability to take the customer's perspective and manage to align it with tesa's expectations
- Ability to combine analytical and conceptional competence with creative thinking approaches
- At least 3 years of experience in technical project work with external partners, preferably also in an international environment
- Business fluent in German and English, and if possible another foreign language
- Knowledge of robot control, sensor technology, and electronic components
- Familiarity with CAS software and 3D design
- High flexibility, resilience, and open-mindedness for new things
