Job Title: Software Engineering Intern

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Software Engineering Intern to join our team at Wayfair. As a Software Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including designing and implementing high-quality, scalable services, and collaborating with experienced engineers to develop products aligned with our long-term strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-quality, scalable services with effective boundaries that support our long-term vision and strategy
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers to develop products aligned with our long-term strategy
  • Work with a team of talented engineers to design and implement cloud-based services
  • Contribute to the technical growth of teammates and develop products that meet our high standards
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure that our codebase is of the highest quality

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Master's Degree program
  • Effective utilization of technical skills in past internships or university projects
  • Previous experience with Java and/or Python, DB, Web Services, or UI
  • Full stack and/or web development experience
  • Experience designing for cloud-based environments and event-based architectures
  • Excellent communication and ability to influence decisions with an inclusive, adaptable, and persuasive style
  • Team player with a desire for continuous learning and growth
