Job Description

As a Cost Engineering Expert, you will play a key role in our Supply Chain Excellence division, providing strategic and operational support to our International Category Manager and Management team. Your primary responsibility will be to leverage the power of cost intelligence and analytics to create valuable insights that will be embedded into our Sourcing and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and continuously improve our Supply Chain cost intelligence methods and tools to materials and services
  • Ensure the growth of valuable data sources and external partners through active market research and collaboration in cost engineering projects
  • Drive transparency in Demand, Sourcing, and Tendering processes to secure forecasting and volume bundling
  • Scale the application and usage of smart cost analytics and cost engineering on materials and services
  • Ensure a close and effective interaction with our Category teams and Management to deliver valuable data products and secure the integration of cost analytics and data insights in decision-making processes
  • Deploy best practices and IT tools to support performance steering and transparency across Categories
  • Build and strengthen business stakeholder relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for data collaboration
Requirements
  • University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Technology, or equivalent professional qualification (M.Sc., Diploma)
  • Comprehensive understanding of Supply Chain management and related processes, such as Demand Forecasting and Source-to-Contract
  • First experiences in leading cost engineering initiatives with technical product managers and Category managers
  • Experienced understanding of data management, data validation, and the consolidation of key facts and figures
  • Experience in managing analytical projects and methods of data analysis and/or cost planning
  • Proven track record of managing complex stakeholder relationships at the same and higher hierarchical level
  • Strategic thinker with strong acumen for smart analytics and experience in developing and implementing effective solutions and concepts for out-of-the-box inquiries of data assessment
  • Fluent in English and German
