Job Title: Senior Contract Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Contract Specialist to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for negotiating and administering complex contracts, providing expert advice on contracting procedures, and ensuring compliance with government regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate and administer large-scale procurements, including contracts for sophisticated items, regulatory assigned commodities, construction, utilities, and base maintenance.
  • Provide expert advice on contracting procedures, European common market conditions, industrial developments, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Assist the Division Chief in negotiations, execution, and administration of highly complex procurement programs in support of US and NATO requirements.
  • Conduct and/or participate in meetings with high-ranking personnel of ministries of defense, top representatives of industry, and government.
  • Assume complete responsibility for negotiation and administration of contracts from development to contract activity.
Requirements:
  • English Language Proficiency level C1 required.
  • German Language Proficiency level C2 required.
  • Office automation skills required.
  • Required to complete contracting functional training sources within 36 months of appointment.
Working Conditions:

This is a permanent, full-time position within the Host Nation Division, ABG75 Team. The incumbent may be required to perform TDY (Temporary Duty Travel) within Germany. Telework may be approved for regular, recurring, or ongoing work at an alternate worksite.
