Job Title: Senior Contract Specialist

U.S. Army Europe and Africa is seeking a highly skilled Senior Contract Specialist to join our team. As a Senior Contract Specialist, you will be responsible for negotiating and administering contracts for large-scale procurements, including the purchase of sophisticated items, regulatory assigned commodities, construction, utilities, and base maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate and administer contracts for large-scale procurements
  • Apply government contracting procedures and European common market conditions
  • Conduct and/or participate in meetings with high-ranking personnel of ministries of defense and top representatives of industry and government
  • Assume complete responsibility for negotiation and administration of contracts from development to all phases of contract activity
  • Prepare requests for proposals, evaluate proposals, and participate in negotiations of basic contracts and modifications
Requirements:
  • English Language Proficiency level C1 required
  • German Language Proficiency level C2 required
  • Office automation skills required
  • Required to complete contracting functional training sources within 36 months of appointment
Working Conditions:

This is a 1x permanent, full-time position within the Host Nation Division, ABG75 Team. The incumbent of this position is occasionally required to perform TDY (Temporary Duty Travel) within Germany.
