Position Overview
  • Strategic Planning: Formulate and execute health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies.
  • Management System Development: Create a comprehensive management framework aimed at achieving ISO certifications.
  • Safety Monitoring: Oversee safety protocols at LNG terminal locations.
  • Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate environmental, health, and safety hazards.
  • Safety Culture Promotion: Implement risk reduction strategies and foster a culture of safety.
  • Training Programs: Conduct HSE training sessions for staff members.
  • Audits and Inspections: Carry out audits and inspections, reporting findings to both internal management and external regulatory bodies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to applicable health, safety, and environmental laws.
  • Safety Initiatives: Develop and enforce safety protocols, training, and policies.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Formulate emergency response plans for HSE-related incidents.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work alongside various stakeholders to meet HSE objectives.
Required Qualifications
  • Educational Background: Degree in Environmental Management, Safety Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Professional Experience: Extensive experience in a senior HSE position, ideally within the Oil & Gas, Chemicals, or Pharmaceuticals sectors.
  • Management System Expertise: Proven track record in developing and implementing HSE management systems.
  • Safety Certifications: Relevant qualifications in safety and optional areas such as fire safety and spill prevention.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in both German and English.
  • Willingness to Travel: Availability for travel is preferred.
