Finance Operations Manager

About the Position
We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Manager (m/f/d) to oversee daily financial operations and prepare comprehensive quarterly and annual financial reports for our portfolio company. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy of financial statements and collaborate with various departments to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports, as well as internal financial documentation in compliance with HGB and IFRS standards.
- Develop balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements from the ground up according to IFRS guidelines.
- Work closely with internal teams to address tax and financial accounting matters and contribute to various projects.
- Manage payment processes and execute remittances.
- Oversee daily bookkeeping tasks and ensure accurate financial records.
- Reconcile invoices and identify any discrepancies.
- Issue invoices to clients and manage accounts receivable.
- Coordinate with external accounting firms as necessary.
- Support financial initiatives to assist management in an international context.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or a related field, preferably within a startup environment.
- Proficient in IFRS and HGB standards, with advanced Excel capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in both English and German.
- Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a structured approach to problem-solving and a proactive mindset.
- Familiarity with financial and accounting software, particularly DATEV and DUO; experience with expense management tools is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent qualifications.
