Job Title: Senior Software Engineering

At Flink, we're on a mission to give people back time by optimizing our order fulfillment process. We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and help us improve our Dispatching System.

About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to take a leadership role in helping our team with feature development and maintenance across our backend services/microservices. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the development of new features and maintaining existing ones
  • Collaborating with other teams to deliver value to our end users
  • Driving the adoption of best practices and improving our engineering output
  • Contributing to the scaling up of our backend team and bringing in great talents
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 5+ years of commercial experience as a Senior Engineer with expertise in Go, Java, TypeScript, or other OO or functional languages
  • Experience building scalable and reliable large-scale applications
  • Familiarity with optimization algorithms and techniques, particularly in real-world settings
  • Previous experience with architectural input into the design and build of a backend application/product/feature
  • Comfortable with event-based communication between microservices
  • Familiarity with data storage and message brokering tools such as Google Pub/Sub, Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, etc.
  • Experience using cloud provider platforms like GCP or AWS, and deploying distributed services to Kubernetes
