Job Description

As a Director Field Application Engineering at Infineon Technologies, you will play a key role in driving the company's success by leading a team of Field Application Engineers (FAEs) and enabling them to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Manage and enable a team of FAEs to achieve their objectives and contribute to the company's growth.
  • FAE Organization Development: Continuously adopt and implement the FAE organization in line with market development and Infineon's strategic targets.
  • Design Win Targets: Reach design win targets and other key performance indicators (KPIs) to enable further growth and success.
  • Joint Innovation: Drive joint innovation with leading customers to ensure Infineon's competitiveness in the future.
  • FAE Enablement: Help FAEs to maximize future business by having a holistic view on the application, focusing on the complete Infineon portfolio.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Find the right tone by persistently helping FAEs on stakeholder alignment along their projects.
  • FAE Resource Allocation: Manage FAE resource allocation depending on expected return on investment (entrepreneurial mindset).
  • Expectations and Responsibilities: Align expectations and responsibilities towards the FAE organization with other stakeholders inside and outside Infineon.
  • Continuous Learning: Foster continuous learning for FAEs with the target to become trusted advisors towards customers, as well as supporting FAEs on proceeding on the Technical Ladder career path.

At the same time, you will be authentic and act transparently. Furthermore, you will be aware of the strengths, needs for development, and motivational drivers of your people.

Requirements
  • Education: A university degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable.
  • Experience: At least 8 years of professional experience within the semiconductor or power electronics market.
  • Team Leadership: Experience as a team leader, ability to identify and attract talents.
  • Trend Identification: Capability to identify early trends in the applications and competitive threats.
  • Value Proposition: Analytical skills for identification and assessment of unique value propositions/selling points/product competitiveness in order to prioritize Go-to-Market activities.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Ability to drive alignment with key stakeholders and to manage multiple, multilevel interfaces.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strategic thinking, business sense, entrepreneurial view, as well as good understanding of process management, digitalization, and change management.
  • CRM Systems: Experience with state-of-the-art CRM systems like Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Project Management: Project management skills based on proactive follow-up (Who / What / When).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent English communication and presentation skills, German as a plus.
