Global Project Coordinator

Overview:

WENDT CORPORATION is in search of a proficient Global Project Coordinator to enhance our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of projects while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction from the initial engagement through to project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize safety for yourself and colleagues in all work environments.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal sales teams to finalize equipment choices, budget considerations, project scope, and timelines during the pre-sale phase.
  • Upon contract award, develop and implement a comprehensive project work schedule, including a work breakdown structure, ensuring client approval and adaptability to evolving client needs.
  • Anticipate and address customer requirements, offering proactive solutions.
  • Facilitate clear communication of schedule and scope expectations across all departments and suppliers.
  • Support engineering management in identifying critical paths to optimize work assignments.
  • Assist supply chain management in selecting, validating, and overseeing key regional suppliers.
  • Monitor and maintain essential project performance metrics.
  • Oversee daily operational aspects of the project and its scope.
  • Initiate and manage orders with purchasing for all third-party supply needs.
  • Implement and uphold project methodologies and standards.
  • Prepare and lead client progress reviews alongside timely internal team evaluations to ensure on-time and quality milestone achievements.
  • Coordinate fieldwork as necessary to support installation and commissioning processes.
  • Mitigate risks and exposure for the company while maximizing project margins.
  • Aim to meet or exceed the margins set during the sales process.
  • Ensure all project documentation is thorough, up-to-date, and appropriately archived.
  • Foster customer satisfaction and contribute to the continuous enhancement of the company's brand and reputation.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%, including international travel.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience is essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within construction or capital equipment sectors.
  • An MBA or advanced degrees are advantageous.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Experience in a field related to the scrap metal industry is a plus.
  • Fluency in English is required; multilingual candidates are preferred.
