Head of Logistics Operations

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our national and international long-distance transportation scheduling team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for achieving targets in scheduling part and full loads, as well as driving the further development and strategic orientation of our division.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the scheduling team to ensure efficient and effective transportation operations
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve scheduling performance and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Source and select suitable transport companies based on cost, quality, and sustainability
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to inform business decisions

About You:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in logistics and transportation. You will have a proven track record of managing teams and driving business growth, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in logistics or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics and transportation management
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

Language: Fluent German and good command of English
