Position Overview
We are looking for a talented and driven System Engineer with a focus on motor systems for aerospace applications. In this role, you will be instrumental in the understanding, verification, and validation of motor technologies used in aircraft. Your background in aerospace standards, supplier coordination, and expertise in electronics and embedded software will be vital to the advancement of our motor systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop a thorough understanding of motor systems, encompassing electrical, mechanical, and software elements within the aerospace sector.
- Establish and define system-level requirements, ensuring adherence to aerospace regulations and client specifications.
- Lead verification and validation processes for motor systems, including the creation of test plans, execution of tests, and analysis of results to confirm system efficacy and safety.
- Liaise with external suppliers to oversee the development and integration of motor components, ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality benchmarks.
- Conduct comprehensive technical evaluations of supplier documentation, including requirement specifications, design outlines, and testing protocols.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify and address system-level challenges, applying sound engineering principles.
- Contribute to the enhancement of system engineering methodologies, processes, and tools, focusing on motor systems in aerospace.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in aerospace standards, regulations, and industry best practices to improve motor system development.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in system engineering within the aerospace sector, particularly in motor development.
- Comprehensive understanding of aerospace standards and regulations, specifically concerning motor systems.
- Proven experience in verification and validation of safety-critical systems, ideally in the aerospace field.
- Familiarity with supplier management, ensuring compliance with program requirements.
- Knowledge of electronics and embedded software development relevant to motor systems, facilitating effective teamwork.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in English is required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in motor design and analysis, covering both electrical and mechanical aspects.
- Familiarity with model-based systems engineering practices and tools.
- Understanding of aerospace hardware development processes and quality standards, including DO-178 and DO-254.
- Knowledge of safety assessment methodologies such as FMEA and FTA.
- Proficiency in requirements management tools and configuration management systems.
- Experience with system-level integration and testing of motor systems for aircraft.
