As a Logistics Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods within our organization. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of logistics, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Goods Receipt: You will oversee the acceptance of incoming goods, verifying their quantity and quality against accompanying documentation.
- Unloading and Sorting: Efficiently unload goods and organize them in designated storage areas, maintaining optimal conditions for storage.
- Shipping Coordination: Plan delivery routes and determine the most cost-effective shipping methods for outgoing goods.
- Order Preparation: Assemble orders and package products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Documentation: Prepare necessary shipping documents, including delivery notes and customs declarations.
- Loading Operations: Load trucks, containers, or railway cars, ensuring that cargo is secured to prevent movement or spillage during transit.
- Process Optimization: Enhance the internal flow of information and materials from procurement to sales, identifying potential improvements.
- Supplier Interaction: Research suppliers, conduct price comparisons, place orders, and manage payment processes.
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A secondary school diploma or equivalent.
- A passion for diverse tasks and responsibilities.
- An interest in engaging in light physical activity during work.
