Senior System Engineer

About the Role: The Battery Management System Business Division (BMS) is on the lookout for a Security and Digital Processing Principal Engineer for the Battery Management IC (BMIC) – Automotive product line. This role presents an excellent opportunity to influence Renesas's expansion in the dynamic electrification of the automotive sector. You will also collaborate with various product lines to ensure Renesas's sustained growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Join an expert team dedicated to developing industry-leading products for battery management systems in both automotive and industrial sectors.
- Analyze electrical, thermal, and impedance characteristics of battery systems based on customer requirements to enhance overall system cost, performance, and user experience.
- Drive product specifications, select external components, manage costing, design boards, and define system functionalities.
- BSEE or a higher degree in engineering/science with a solid background in the automotive sector.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in System Level Physics Simulation & Power Functions.
- Extensive experience in automotive hardware design, including familiarity with associated standards and requirements.
- Proficient in modeling electrical systems using Matlab and SPICE.
- Additional experience in automotive software and system development, as well as in mixed-signal semiconductor product development, is advantageous.
